A Promise From A Prophet

Recently I was called to be the institute co-chair in my ward. I found this video about institute and LOVED it.

I will work with a guy in my ward that will soon be called as the other institute co-chair, (i don't know who it is yet).

I have set a goal to have everyone in my ward (BYU 197) to be enrolled in either an institute class or a religion

class at BYU. I am excited to be in a new calling and for a new semester. It seems like it is going to be a wonderful

year. I can't wait!

Desicions, Decisions, & Good Friends

Recently I have had a hard time making decisions, normally I don't have any trouble at all I just pick something I want to do and do it, but recently for some reason it has been harder for me. This past week I have been very distraught as to what I was going to do for the fall weather it was to move back home to Vancouver, what classes to take, and what Dental Hygiene schools I should be applying to. I became so frustrated last Monday night that I began to cry. As I was trying to make these choices there was one thing I forgot to do. It should have been the first thing I thought of, but amongst all the stress I forgot to ask my Heavenly Father. My friendHeather always has a post on her blog about Heavenly Father or a lesson that she has recently learned. As Heather and I are becoming better friends I feel that I am filling my life with better things and making better decisions. There are also people that I am aquatinted with but that I do not know very well but are great examples to me. Through these friendships I have been able to make a decision and find peace in the choices I have made. I am so grateful for my friends and the way that they influence me and help me to become better. :)

Fourth of July Weekend!

Last weekend I went home Thursday night after I got off work. My friends Brooke and Scott made the long journey with me from Utah to Washington. My parents didn't know I was coming and neither did my BEST FRIEND Brady! This was the ULTIMATE surprise. I can pretty much say that all of them were shocked when they saw me. haha. I loved it. The best part was that I was actually able to keep the surprise from Brady and not tell him!

Top 10 Reasons why my dad is the GREATEST!

1. He is always thinking of what he can do to make his children's life easier.

2.He is always so supportive in the things Matt and I do. Like sitting through a really long High School Graduation in 2007 or driving downall the way from Washington to Utah to support Matt in running a marathon.

3. He dances with me even though he may not want to.

4. He ALWAYS works hard for our family in anything that we may need.

5. He loves mom.

6. He plans really FUN family vacations :)

7. He gives good hugs and always lets you know that he loves you!

8. Whenever you are in the mood for a history lesson, he will give you one. He is really SMART!



9. He is always pushing and inspiring us to be better and do our best!

10. He is funny. He always makes me laugh.



I am so grateful for my Dad and love him so much! He is such a great example to me. He has taught me so much about the importance of testimony. My dad has always been someone that always would tell dates to be respectful, and secretly I loved it. He has always been there to protect me. I know I can go to my dad with any problem and he always has great words of wisdom and advice. I am so grateful we have a day to celebrate father's because I don't know what I would do without mine! Happy Father's Day! You are the BEST!! I love you Dad!!

Little Stepper passed away :( Novemer 14th 1997- April 10th 2009

My parents got a new little puppy because Annie (our other dog) was getting lonely. They named her Katie.

That is everything that has been going on recently in my life and with my family! Summer has been busy so far with school and work and I love it. Most of the time I feel pretty productive.
I am so excited for summer and all the activites going on!

I FINALLY Gave In....

I know I have been saying for forever that I wouldn't get a blog, but I finally gave in. It is such a good way for you to keep everyone updated on what is going on in your life. It is also such a good way to keep up with the happenings on what is going on in everyone else's lives. Yay for blogging!
